RAND Corporation Expert to Lecture on U.S. Industrial Base's Role in National Security
Caitlin Lee, Ph.D., Director of Acquisition Technology and Policy at RAND Corporation, is scheduled to deliver a lecture titled “The Central Role of the US Industrial Base in US National Security Decision Making.” The event, hosted by the Strauss Center for International Security and Law and the Clements Center for National Security, will focus on how the U.S. industrial base is becoming a critical component of national power amidst intensifying competition with China. Dr. Lee, a senior political scientist at RAND, oversees research for the Pentagon concerning U.S.-China competition, emerging technologies, defense industrial base issues, and acquisition. Her current projects include analyzing U.S. and Chinese defense mobilization trends and implications, and efforts to enhance the resilience of the U.S. industrial base to deter major power conflicts.
