Headroom Labs Introduces Token Compression for AI Agents
Headroom Labs has launched a tool that compresses outputs, logs, and files before they reach large language models (LLMs), significantly reducing the number of tokens required for processing. This tool, known as Headroom, is designed to work with various AI agents and frameworks, offering a reduction of 20% in tokens for coding agents and 60-95% for JSON data. The system operates as a proxy, compressing data flow regardless of upstream configurations. It supports integration with tools like Serena for semantic code navigation and offers flexibility for users to attach their own tooling.
