Bull Calf Leads San Antonio Animal Care Officers on Chase Through Walmart Parking Lot and Drainage Tunnel
A bull calf, nicknamed 'Moodini' by animal care officers, led San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) on an unusual chase through a Walmart parking lot and into an underground drainage tunnel. The incident occurred on Tuesday when the calf was first spotted wandering towards a Walmart located in the 1200 block of Southeast Military Drive. San Antonio police officers initially assisted in herding the calf out of traffic and into a nearby green space. However, the calf quickly moved underground into a large drainage tunnel, where it eventually stopped to rest. ACS officers were then able to safely remove the calf from the tunnel and load it into a livestock trailer. ACS has stated that livestock is not legally permitted to roam freely in San Antonio, and they are asking anyone with information regarding the calf's owner to contact 311.
