California Couple Faces Cancer Diagnoses Together While Raising Three Children
Zak and Cori Salazar, a couple from Mission Viejo, California, are simultaneously battling cancer while raising their three young daughters. Cori was first diagnosed with thyroid cancer in April 2023, followed by Zak's diagnosis of an aggressive brain tumor in June 2023. Despite these challenges, the couple remains committed to supporting each other and their family. They have adopted a motto of 'We can do hard things together,' emphasizing resilience and mutual support. The couple's friends have initiated an online fundraiser to assist with medical expenses, which has already reached 59% of its $650,000 goal.
