Ontario Fruit Vegetable Convention Appoints Douglas Darling as President to Lead Horticulture Growth
The Ontario Fruit & Vegetable Convention (OFVC) has appointed Douglas Darling, a Niagara-based grower, as its new President. Darling, who operates Sunnydale Farms in Jordan, Ontario, has been a director on the OFVC Board since 2020 and represents the Niagara Peninsula Fruit and Vegetable Growers’ Association. His appointment is part of a leadership transition aimed at fostering growth and innovation within Ontario's horticulture sector. Darling's farm specializes in tender fruit production, including peaches, nectarines, and cherries, and is located in one of Ontario's most productive fruit-growing regions. His leadership is expected to guide the Convention in addressing industry challenges and opportunities.
