Suspected Drunk Driver Causes Fatal Collision in North Hollywood
A tragic incident occurred in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, where a suspected drunk driver struck and killed two pedestrians early Sunday morning, April 12, 2026. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash took place around 2:25 a.m. on Colfax Avenue. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Vidal C. from Pacoima, was driving a gray Acura northbound when he hit two pedestrians who had just exited a parked Toyota Camry. The male victim, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female victim, in her 50s, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. After the initial collision, the driver continued to travel, hitting the parked Camry and crashing into several unoccupied vehicles and a home. Three individuals inside the Camry sustained minor injuries. The suspect was apprehended and charged with two counts of murder, with bail set at $4 million.
