Third Kona Storm Brings Flood Risk to Hawaii
A third powerful Kona storm in just three weeks is set to drench Hawaii, raising concerns over flooding and mudslides. The storm will pull in deep tropical moisture, bringing heavy rain—even to typically dry areas. With ground already saturated from recent storms, runoff could quickly overwhelm streams and reservoirs, increasing the risk of flash flooding and infrastructure damage.
