ICE Misuse of Crowd Control Weapons at Immigration Protests Documented
A report by Physicians for Human Rights and the Human Rights Center at the University of California, Berkeley has documented 412 instances of misuse of crowd control weapons by ICE officers at immigration protests over a year. The report highlights significant misuse in cities like Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Chicago, with chemical irritants being the most commonly used weapon. The findings indicate a pattern of aggressive enforcement tactics during public demonstrations against immigration policies, particularly under the Trump administration.
