Reps. Wittman and McClellan Address Ongoing Mail Delivery Issues in Virginia
Reps. Rob Wittman (R-1st) and Jennifer McClellan (D-4th) visited the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Richmond Regional Processing and Distribution Center in Sandston, Virginia, to discuss persistent mail delivery problems affecting the state. The issues in Richmond have been attributed to a combination of mismanagement, staffing shortages, and consistently poor delivery times within the Richmond district of the USPS. The visit occurred while the facility is undergoing an audit, indicating a formal review of its operations. Previous actions by Virginia's congressional members include writing to the USPS Inspector General to highlight these problems.
