Survey Reveals Hormone-Related Symptoms Impacting Women's Workforce Participation
A new survey conducted by Balance@Work has revealed that 28% of women have considered leaving the workforce due to hormone-related symptoms such as those associated with menopause, perimenopause, and other hormone conditions. The survey, which included over 5,500 respondents, highlights the significant impact these symptoms have on women's work performance and career decisions. Many women reported changes in work hours, flexibility, and career progression due to these symptoms. Despite the prevalence of these issues, there is a notable lack of employer awareness and resources to support affected employees. The survey also found that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can significantly improve symptoms, with 92% of women on HRT reporting improvements.
