California Lifeguard Rescues Boy from Dangerous Surf, Gains National Attention
A lifeguard in Santa Cruz, California, is being celebrated as a hero after saving a boy from massive waves at Seabright Beach. The incident occurred when unexpected large waves swept the boy into the ocean. The lifeguard, whose identity has not been disclosed, quickly responded by diving into the water and securing the boy, who was struggling to stay afloat. Despite the challenging conditions, the lifeguard, with the help of a colleague, managed to bring the boy safely to shore. The rescue was captured on video by a witness, Scott Vander Dussen, who noted the sudden change in wave intensity. The boy was evaluated by paramedics and released to his parents. President Trump acknowledged the lifeguard's bravery on social media, expressing intentions to invite him to the White House to honor his courageous act.
