Oahu Residents Seek Cleanup Assistance After Storm Lala
Following storm Lala, Oahu residents are seeking assistance for cleanup efforts. The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency has partnered with Aloha United Way and other organizations to provide free help with tasks such as removing fallen trees, mud, debris, and damaged household items. Residents in North Shore and Windward Oahu can also request chainsaw assistance through the Key Project. However, demand for these services is high, and assistance is not guaranteed. The storm has highlighted the need for accessible emergency alerts in multiple languages, as a significant portion of Oahu's population speaks languages other than English at home.
