SpaceX Launches 21 Satellites for SDA's Missile-Tracking Network
SpaceX successfully launched 21 satellites for the Space Development Agency's (SDA) missile-tracking and data relay network. This launch, part of the SDA's Tranche 1 Transport Layer, marks the third operational batch supporting the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. The mission was conducted using a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Launch Complex 4E. This week also saw other significant space activities, including the Soyuz MS-29 mission to the International Space Station and additional Starlink satellite launches by SpaceX. The Pentagon also announced a $1.75 billion contract for 36 more missile-tracking satellites, indicating a significant expansion of the SDA's tracking layer.
