Storm in Plainfield, NJ Causes Tree to Crush Amazon Truck and Floods Roads
A severe storm in Plainfield, New Jersey, caused significant disruptions as a massive tree fell onto an Amazon delivery truck, trapping a worker inside. Neighbors quickly responded, using a kitchen knife to cut the seatbelt and free the trapped individual. The storm brought heavy rain and thunder, leading to flooded streets in Paterson and Jersey City, and causing additional trees to fall onto train tracks, disrupting NJ Transit services. The storm also affected travel plans, with flights being canceled, including one for a family heading to a concert at MetLife Stadium. Amazon reported that the delivery drivers involved in the incident were safe, and expressed gratitude to those who assisted at the scene.
