Pope Leo XIV Concludes Rest Period at Castel Gandolfo, Returns to Vatican
Pope Leo XIV has concluded a three-week period of rest at the Apostolic Palace in Castel Gandolfo and returned to the Vatican on July 27. During his stay, the Pope engaged in prayer, reading, and some sport, and participated in public events, including leading the Angelus on Sundays and attending a concert. He also made private visits to religious sites such as the Benedictine Abbey of Montecassino. The Pope's return marks the end of a restful period, during which he also interacted with the local community, including sharing a meal with socially vulnerable individuals.
