Oregon Digital Library Consortium Offers Extensive eBook and Audiobook Access to Patrons
The Cannon Beach Library, in partnership with the Oregon Digital Library Consortium, is providing patrons with access to a wide array of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks. This service allows users to enjoy digital content on various devices, including Kindle, Apple iOS devices, Android devices, Nook, and smartphones. Patrons without a dedicated e-reader can utilize their smartphone or tablet via a browser or the Libby App. The digital content can also be accessed on personal computers. A key feature of this service is the automatic return of eBooks once their due date passes, eliminating overdue fees. Similar to physical books, there is a limited number of digital copies available for popular titles, and patrons can place holds on items that are currently checked out.
