Jones Beach to Feature First-Ever Patriotic Drone Display for Memorial Day
Jones Beach in Long Island is set to host its first-ever patriotic drone display for Memorial Day, replacing the traditional fighter jet air show. Scheduled for May 24 at 9 p.m., the 20-minute drone show will feature 1,000 drones flying up to 400 feet, synchronized to patriotic music. The drones will create 3D-moving images of symbols like bald eagles, Uncle Sam's hat, and the American flag. This event is part of New York State's broader celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The traditional air show, featuring the Navy Blue Angels and other military teams, will now take place on July 5 and 6.
