Defector Podcast 'The Distraction' Nears Conclusion After Six-Year Run
The podcast 'The Distraction,' co-hosted by David Roth and Drew, is approaching its final episodes. Roth, an editor at Defector and co-host, announced that the upcoming episode will be the penultimate one, with one more to follow next week. The show has been running for approximately six years, following an earlier collaboration on 'The Deadcast' at Deadspin. Roth expressed a mix of emotions, noting the comfort and enjoyment derived from working on the podcast with Drew and for their dedicated audience. He also mentioned that while the podcast is ending, both hosts have new projects in the pipeline. Drew's new concept is expected to launch in Week 1 of the NFL season, taking over 'The Distraction' feed, while Roth's co-hosted show is still in earlier stages of development but will follow.
