Budimex Wins Contract for Centralny Port Komunikacyjny Airport Foundation in Poland
Budimex, a leading Polish construction firm, has secured the contract to construct the deep foundation for the passenger terminal at Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK), Poland's flagship transport infrastructure project. The project combines a new international airport with a nationwide high-speed rail and road network. Budimex's bid of PLN146 million ($39 million) was the lowest among six submissions. The foundation work will involve installing over 8,194 piles and columns, forming the base for the future passenger terminal structure. The contract is expected to be signed in June, with construction beginning later this year.
