Chris Salcedo Departs Newsmax After Contract Conclusion, Shifts Focus to Radio and Podcasting
Chris Salcedo, a prominent broadcaster, has left Newsmax after his contract ended and he chose not to renew it. His final broadcast on the network was reported to be on January 16, 2026, concluding a tenure of approximately nine years. Salcedo publicly clarified that his departure was a personal choice and not a result of being fired or any dispute with Newsmax. He cited a personal 'mission' he intended to complete in 2026 as a reason for his decision. Following his exit, the 5 p.m. ET slot previously occupied by 'The Chris Salcedo Show' is now filled by 'Ed Henry: The Big Take.' Salcedo has since transitioned his work to radio and podcasting, continuing to host a daily radio show and produce 'The Salcedo Storm Podcast' from Texas. He is reportedly associated with AM 700 KSEV in Houston and WBAP 820 AM in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and also holds an executive director position within a conservative Hispanic organization.
