A tragic incident involving a 16-year-old, whose parents allege that ChatGPT contributed to his suicidal thoughts, underscores the potential risks. The illusion of companionship created by AI chatbots is particularly troubling, as these systems cannot accurately assess crisis situations or provide appropriate human support.
