Congressman Flood Introduces Bill to Standardize Federal Vehicle Safety Standards
Congressman Mike Flood, along with Representatives Jake Ellzey, Jay Obernolte, and David Rouzer, has introduced the Uniform Vehicle Safety Standards Act. This legislation seeks to address the rise in lawsuits based on state standards by establishing federal vehicle safety standards as the nationwide norm. The legislation is supported by various industry groups, including the American Trucking Associations and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
