Jolt and Propagate Partner for North American Release of Ukraine War Documentary 'A Simple Soldier'
Jolt and Propagate Content have announced a partnership to release the Ukraine war documentary 'A Simple Soldier' across North America, the UK, Australia, Latin America, and Asia. The release strategy will encompass theatrical screenings, an impact campaign, a Jolt.film TVOD window, and digital aggregation. The film chronicles the journey of Ukrainian filmmaker and cinematographer Artem Ryzhykov, who transitions from working behind the camera to serving on the frontlines following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Filmed over three and a half years, the documentary provides a deeply personal and ground-level perspective on war, exploring themes of duty, love, loss, and the moral complexities involved in documenting conflict from within. Directed by Ryzhykov and Juan Camilo Cruz, the film is produced by both directors, alongside Howard T. Owens and Ben Silverman of Propagate.
