German Athletics Team Finalizes 116 Athletes for European Championships in Birmingham
The German Athletics Federation has finalized its team for the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham, scheduled from August 10 to 16, 2026. The team comprises 116 athletes, including 59 women and 57 men, who have qualified through the European Ranking 'Road to Birmingham'. Notable athletes include Mikaelle Assani, Kira Wittmann, and Alexander Stepanov, who have recently excelled in national competitions. The team also features prominent figures like long jump champion Malaika Mihambo and decathlon world champion Leo Neugebauer. The German team is expected to compete in various events, including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays for both men and women.
