Judge Blocks NYC Law Protecting Uber, Lyft Drivers from Abrupt Deactivation
A Manhattan judge has issued a preliminary injunction against a New York City law designed to protect Uber and Lyft drivers from sudden deactivation. The law, known as Local Law 52, was set to take effect soon and aimed to provide over 80,000 drivers with advance notice and an appeals process before being removed from the apps.
