UAE Orders Embraer KC/C-390 Millennium Airlifters, Expanding Middle East Market Presence
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has placed an order for 10 Embraer KC/C-390 Millennium airlifters, marking the Brazilian manufacturer's first sale in the Middle East market. The order was made by the UAE's Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, with an option for an additional 10 aircraft. The selection followed a comprehensive evaluation process, including testing in the UAE's operational environment. The C-390 Millennium is designed to perform a variety of missions, such as cargo and troop transport, airdrop operations, and medical evacuation. The deal includes a maintenance, repair, and overhaul package, along with after-sales support services, although the contract value and delivery timeline have not been disclosed.
