Atlanta Launches 'Protect Our Blocks' Campaign to Address Property Conditions
The City of Atlanta's Department of Public Works (DPW) has initiated the 'Protect Our Blocks' campaign. This initiative aims to raise public awareness regarding property conditions and to inform residents on how to report potential code violations within their neighborhoods. The campaign emphasizes that issues such as accumulated trash, overgrown vegetation, unsafe structural conditions, and unsecured properties can negatively impact the entire surrounding community, not just individual homes or buildings. Both tenants and neighbors are encouraged to report concerns, even if they do not own the property. Reports can be submitted through ATL311, either by calling 311 or 404-546-0311, using the ATL311 app, or by visiting ATL311.com and searching for 'Code Enforcement.'
