Low Swim Risk Across Lake Erie Beaches Today
The National Weather Service Cleveland has issued a marine forecast for Lake Erie beaches, including Maumee Bay State Park, East Harbor, Kelleys Island, and others. Conditions are expected to remain calm with a low swim risk throughout the day. Wave heights are forecasted to be 1 to 3 feet depending on the location, and no thunderstorms are anticipated. UV index levels are moderate, and water temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s °F (approximately 18–20 °C). Winds will generally be from the northeast at 10 to 15 mph, contributing to partly sunny skies and pleasant weather conditions. This forecast applies to both nearshore and open lake waters within five nautical miles of the shore.
