Broward Health Files Lawsuit Against Florida Blue Over Unpaid Emergency Care Bills
Broward Health has initiated legal action against Florida Blue, accusing the insurer of failing to pay for emergency care provided to out-of-network patients. The lawsuit claims that Florida Blue owes significant payments plus 12% interest following the termination of their contract in July 2025. This dispute has left thousands of members caught in the middle, as Broward Health seeks to recover the unpaid bills for services rendered.
