Jon Husted Faces Criticism Over Support for Tariffs Impacting Ohioans
Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted is under scrutiny for his continued support of tariffs that are reportedly increasing costs for Ohio farmers, small businesses, and families. Despite the negative impact, Husted has voted multiple times to block efforts aimed at reducing these tariffs. Critics, including the Ohio Democratic Party, argue that the tariffs are causing significant economic strain, with Ohio farmers experiencing a 74% loss in sales to China and a rise in farm bankruptcies. Husted, however, maintains that the tariffs have not negatively affected the economy and insists that the policies are effective.
