MSX Industrial Firms See 47% Profit Increase in H1 2026 Amid Economic Growth
Industrial companies listed on the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) reported a 46.8% increase in net profits, reaching approximately RO175.3 million in the first half of 2026. This growth is attributed to improved economic conditions, government spending, and increased demand for Omani industrial products. Companies like Oman India Fertilizer and OQ Base Industries saw significant profit increases, while others like Oman Cables Industry and Voltamp Energy reported marginal gains. Cement companies also benefited from increased demand and real estate growth. However, some companies, including Oman Chlorine and National Detergents, moved from profit to loss during this period.
