Robots in April: From Ping Pong to Public Mishaps
April 2026 saw a variety of robotic activities, from Sony's ping pong-playing robot Ace to a marathon-running robot that dramatically failed during a race. These events highlight the diverse applications and challenges of robotics, as well as the public's fascination with their capabilities and limitations. The month also featured artistic installations using robots, such as Beeple's exhibit with robot dogs bearing the heads of famous billionaires.
