Senator Katie Britt Condemns Massachusetts Law Allowing Abortions Up to Birth

The legislation, known as the Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act, removes previous late-term restrictions, allowing licensed physicians to determine the appropriateness of an abortion after the 24-week gestational period based on their medical judgment. Senator Britt described the law as 'despicable and disgusting,' expressing profound dismay at its passage. She highlighted her personal connection to Massachusetts, noting her daughter was born there, which intensified her reaction to the policy. Britt also voiced her full support for Live Action, a non-profit anti-abortion organization, which is reportedly facing legal threats for its use of the word 'kill' in reporting on abortion statistics. She emphasized the importance of free speech and the right to convey what she considers to be the truth about abortion.
