Army Encourages Defense Industry to Open Software for Hackathon
The Army is collaborating with nine major defense companies to conduct a series of 'hackathons' aimed at creating a common operating system across its platforms. This initiative, called 'Right to Integrate,' seeks to eliminate information silos and improve communication between military systems. The Army is pushing contractors to open their software interfaces to build a unified architecture, a move inspired by Ukraine's successful integration of military technologies. The first event is scheduled to take place at Fort Carson, Colorado.
