Kamala Harris Hints at 2028 Presidential Run Following Trump Victory
Former Vice President Kamala Harris has suggested she may run for the presidency in 2028. This comes after her loss to President Trump in the 2024 election. Harris, who served as vice president under President Biden, discussed the possibility during an event with civil rights leader Al Sharpton. Although she did not commit to a campaign, Harris acknowledged her experience and understanding of the presidential role. Her previous candidacy in 2024 was marked by her stepping in after Biden withdrew from the race, ultimately losing to Trump. Harris's potential candidacy is significant as she was the first Black and South Asian woman to receive a major party nomination.
