Security Researcher Exposes North Korean Hacking Operations Affecting Global Networks
A cybersecurity researcher, Vangelis Stykas, has uncovered extensive hacking operations by North Korean hackers, affecting over 1,640 companies across 57 countries. Stykas, who accessed the hackers' systems for nearly two years, found that around 700 to 800 organizations experienced significant breaches. The hackers targeted individual employees and contractors to gain unauthorized access to company systems, including root access to servers and blockchain keys. Stykas will present his findings at the Black Hat security conference, revealing the scale and impact of these operations on various industries, including healthcare, technology, and finance.
