Greece Anticipates Continued Tourism Boom into 2027 with Strong European Interest
Greece is projected to maintain its strong appeal as a tourist destination for Europeans through 2027, according to a three-part rolling market survey conducted by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO). The survey indicates that 29% of Europeans plan to visit Greece by May 2027, positioning it as the third most popular Mediterranean destination. A significant portion of these prospective travelers, 58%, are repeat visitors, while 42% would be visiting for the first time. The initial phase of the survey gathered responses from 7,896 travelers aged 18 to 64 across ten European countries, including the United Kingdom, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, and Romania.
