Salmonella Risk Prompts Recall of Good Gather and Other Snack Mixes
John B. Sanfilippo and Son, an Illinois-based food manufacturer, has issued a recall for several snack products due to potential salmonella contamination. The affected products include nut mixes and a Mexican street corn-inspired trail mix sold under brands such as Southern Style Nuts, Fisher, Squirrel Brand, and Good & Gather. These products were distributed through various retail outlets, including Target and QVC. The recall was initiated as a precautionary measure after the dry milk powder used in the seasoning was previously recalled by California Dairies. Consumers are advised to return the products for a full refund or replacement.
