Thermos Recalls 8.2 Million Containers Due to Injury Hazards
Thermos has issued a recall for approximately 8.2 million food jars and beverage bottles across the United States. This action follows reports of laceration injuries and permanent vision loss linked to the products. The recall affects about 5.8 million Stainless King Food Jars and 2.3 million Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottles. The issue arises when the stopper of these containers forcefully ejects upon opening, posing a serious risk of impact injury and laceration. The products were sold at major retailers like Target and Walmart, as well as online platforms such as Amazon, from March 2008 to July 2024. Consumers are advised to stop using the products immediately and contact Thermos for a free replacement.
