Drones Spotted Over German Military Base Amid Rising Security Concerns
Two drones were observed flying over a German military base in Mechernich, just days after a drone carrying explosives was found at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The German Armed Forces confirmed the sightings, which occurred around 10 p.m. on Thursday. The military police have been deployed, and an investigation is underway by the Euskirchen police department. This incident follows a series of drone sightings over European airports, raising security concerns. The Leipzig/Halle Airport, a key hub for international freight and NATO operations, was previously targeted with an explosive-laden drone, highlighting a new level of threat.
