TSA Finds Stolen Civil War-Era Cannonballs in Traveler's Luggage in Alabama
TSA officers at Alabama's Gulf Shores International Airport discovered five Civil War-era cannonballs in a traveler's checked luggage. The cannonballs, wrapped in paper towels, were identified as stolen from Fort Morgan, a historic site significant in several military conflicts, including the Civil War. The passenger claimed ignorance of how the cannonballs came into their possession. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office has since returned the artifacts to Fort Morgan.
