Harvard University Does Not Offer Athletic Scholarships for Women's Ice Hockey
Harvard University does not provide traditional NCAA athletic scholarships for its women's ice hockey program. Instead, financial aid for eligible student-athletes is determined based on demonstrated financial need, similar to all other Harvard students. This means that a coach cannot offer a scholarship that automatically covers tuition, housing, or meals. The financial aid package, if a student qualifies, may include grants that do not require repayment, along with other forms of assistance. The university assesses a family's financial circumstances, including income, assets, family size, and the number of students in college, to determine the need-based aid package. While being a recruited athlete can support the admission process, it does not replace the separate financial aid application. The amount of aid can also change if a family's financial situation changes. Prospective student-athletes are advised to contact the financial aid office for an official estimate based on their household information.
