Norway Constructs World's Most Advanced Ocean Testing Basin for Maritime Innovation
Norway is undertaking the construction of the most advanced ocean testing basin at the Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre in Trondheim. This state-of-the-art facility will feature two test basins designed to simulate realistic sea conditions for testing ship models, offshore wind turbines, and other marine structures. The project, led by Statsbygg and SINTEF Ocean, involves complex engineering challenges, including precise construction requirements and advanced flow systems. The facility aims to provide critical data for maritime industries, enhancing Norway's position in marine technology and innovation.
