World Cup Transportation: NYC to MetLife Bus Fares Reduced by 75%
Governor Kathy Hochul announced a significant reduction in bus fares for the FIFA World Cup at MetLife Stadium, with round-trip shuttle tickets now costing $20, down from $80. This initiative, supported by state funding and sponsors, aims to make the event more accessible to New Yorkers. Approximately 18,000 shuttle tickets are available per match, with 20% reserved for New York residents. NJ Transit has also reduced train fares to the stadium. The buses will depart from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, with additional pickup locations in Midtown East and North.
