PS5 Emulation Project Achieves Milestone with Playable 3D Games on Kyty
The PlayStation 5 emulation project has reached a significant milestone with the Kyty emulator now capable of running multiple 3D games at playable frame rates. The first game to achieve this is XIII, a 2020 remake of the 2003 classic, which can be played at up to 30 frames per second. Despite some visual glitches and broken textures, the game accepts real-time player input, marking a notable advancement in PS5 emulation. Another game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants, is also playable, running at 22-24 FPS, although it initially crashes before stabilizing. This progress highlights the rapid development of the Kyty emulator, which is outpacing its competitor, SharpEmu, in terms of game compatibility.
