The conflict, which began after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel, has resulted in significant displacement and casualties in Lebanon. More than a million people have been displaced, and the death toll has surpassed 1,200, including over 120 children. The Lebanese diaspora in Australia is particularly affected, with many having family and friends in the conflict zones. The Australian government has announced additional aid to support civilians in Lebanon, emphasizing the need for de-escalation.
