National Geographic Survey Reveals Americans Prioritize Graceful Aging Over Aggressive Longevity Treatments
A recent survey commissioned by National Geographic, conducted by FINN Partners, indicates that a significant portion of Americans are more interested in aging gracefully and slowing down the natural aging process rather than pursuing aggressive anti-aging or longevity treatments. The survey, which polled 1,000 U.S. adults, found that 39% do not plan to invest in anti-aging tactics at all. For those who do, preferences lean towards high-end lifestyle choices such as organic foods, longevity coaches, or premium fitness trackers, rather than cosmetic surgery, Botox, or advanced longevity therapies. Only 9% of respondents view aging as a medical condition requiring active scientific treatment, and a substantial 72% expressed concerns about the risks associated with emerging longevity technologies like cellular reprogramming and senolytic drugs.
