Memorial Service Planned for Don Weise to Honor LGBTQ Literary Contributions
A memorial service is scheduled to honor Don Weise, a prominent editor and publisher known for his significant contributions to LGBTQ literature. Weise, who passed away on January 19 at the age of 59, was instrumental in shaping queer publishing over the past 30 years. He was recognized for mentoring emerging LGBTQ voices and expanding the reach of queer literature and culture. The service will be held on June 10 at The Center in New York City, inviting all members of the LGBTQ literary community to celebrate Weise's life and legacy. Attendance is free, but advance registration is requested through Eventbrite.
