Saudi Arabia to Host 17th ASOSAI General Assembly in Jeddah, Assumes Presidency 2027-2030
Saudi Arabia, represented by its General Court of Audit, will host the 17th General Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) in Jeddah from September 12 to 16, 2027. This significant event, held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will gather heads of audit authorities from 48 Asian countries, along with over 200 participants and representatives from international and regional auditing and accounting organizations, including the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Alangari, President of the General Court of Audit, highlighted that this hosting underscores the international community's confidence in Saudi leadership and its pivotal role in advancing the auditing and accounting profession. Furthermore, Saudi Arabia will assume the presidency of ASOSAI for the term spanning 2027 to 2030, marking a period of increased influence in regional oversight and accounting standards.
