Lowcountry Agencies Launch Search for Individual After Marina Fall in Charleston, SC
Multiple agencies in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina initiated a search operation after a person fell off a boat near the dock at the Harborage at Ashley Marina on Sunday night. Emergency personnel, led by Chief Mike Julazadeh of the Charleston Fire Department, were dispatched to 33 Lockwood Drive just before 8 p.m. The search involved a coordinated effort from various local and federal entities, including the North Charleston and Mount Pleasant Fire Departments, the Charleston Police Department, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Charleston County EMS, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Charleston County Rescue. Crews continued their search efforts until after midnight before suspending operations for the night.
